George Hepburn Glass

My name is George Hepburn and I’ve been working in stained glass for several years now. I worked as an art director in the advertising industry for over 25 years, so my love of art has never waned since I left Art College in the late 80’s.

 

Some ten years or so ago my producer suggested that we sign up for a 6-week course in stained glass at a Citylit college in Covent Garden.

 

I loved it and spent many weekends and evening working on my own projects, some of which I am still proud of today, ‘The White Bull’ and the ‘Rose’.

 

Sadly, as work got more demanding my time working with glass diminished, making the odd Christmas tree bauble for family and friends.

 

A couple of years ago I decided to down my marker pens and take up the glasscutter full time. These photos give you a taste of what I’ve done so far…
